Zhejiang University (ZJU) is one of China’s top higher education institutions. Located in Hangzhou, one of China’s most picturesque cities, the University is organized across seven faculties and 39 schools. It is home to 4,383 full-time faculty members, including 30 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 31 members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Founded in 2005, School of Public Affairs (SPA) at ZJU has become one of the best public-affairs schools in China. A. Top-notch Faculty - “Qiushi” Chair Professor
Scholars with special achievements and extensive international academic influence recognized by international peers, such as Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal or other international award winners; Academicians of the Academy of Sciences or the Academy of Engineering of developed countries; top scholars from home and abroad of comparable level.
B. Outstanding Faculty - ZJU “Qiushi” Distinguished Scholar
Applicants with full professorship (or an equivalent title) in a prominent university; with recognized academic achievements in his/her field of study and capability of leading the discipline to catch up or maintain the international advanced level, and with excellent organizational leadership ability.
C. Core Faculty - Tenured Professor, Tenured Associate Professor
Tenured Professor Scholars with recognized academic achievements in his/her field of study, achieve outstanding achievements in teaching, research and talent cultivation, reaching the equivalent level of tenured professor at a prominent university.
Tenured Associate Professor Scholars with special achievements and certain academic influence, achieve outstanding achievements in teaching, research and talent cultivation, reaching the equivalent level of tenured associate professor at a prominent university.
D. Outstanding Young Faculty - ZJU100 Young Professor
Applicants with a doctorate degree from a world-renowned university and a formal teaching or research position as assistant or associate professor (or an equivalent title) at an internationally prominent university; a top-notch talent among his or her peers, with the ability to independently establish and develop a research orientation and a potential to become an academic leader in his/her respective field.
E. Postdoctoral Researcher
Applicants should hold a doctorate degree in recent years, with good academic research capability and work full-time in ZJU.
