The Chinese Academy of Sciences announced a list of new academicians on November 28, 2017. WU Zhaohui, a professor at the College of Computer Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, and YANG Deren, a professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, were elected academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Professor WU Zhaohui has long been engaged in the research of computer science and technology, and has achieved systematic and creative scientific and technological achievements in the field of complex service computing and hybrid intelligence (Cyborg Intelligence). Professor YANG Deren has been engaged in the research of silicon monocrystal materials for VLSI, solar photovoltaic silicon materials, silicon-based optoelectronic materials and devices, nano-silicon and nano-semiconductor materials.
